DESCRIPTION:
Seth Thomas, Plymouth, Conn., C.1828, 30-hour time/strike wood movement pillar & scroll shelf clock, 2-wt.
CONDITION:
refinished mahogany veneered case in nice clean condition. The top and feet are original, left horn re-glued once. The old dial {which is in remarkably good condition} is from a later clock, and the movement is not by Seth Thomas, although it is a short drop. Bottom tablet is a replacement. Hands are period and the proper type for a pillar & scroll. Rear metal dust cover is missing. Finials are reproductions. Label is in excellent condition, with an old over-paste of instructions.
